What is checked, what the record says, and what it does not.
What V-Verify™ verifies
Identity Credential: the legal or trading entity exists and controls the domain. Commerce Credential adds the offerings you declare and the provenance of your product imagery. Compliance Credential adds third-party assessments you supply, recorded as dated sub-assertions attributed to each assessor.
What the record says
That the named checks were performed, by whom, on which date, and what they found. The record is signed by VERA™ so nobody can alter it. It never states that a price is best, that a claim is true, or that a product is good.
How long it lasts
Twelve months from issue. The expiry is inside the record, so an agent can see it. Renewal re-checks what changed. An expired record says expired to everyone who resolves it.
If something changes
Tell us, and the affected sub-assertion is re-verified and re-signed. If we learn a fact in the record is no longer true, the sub-assertion is marked superseded, with history kept. Records are corrected, never quietly edited.
If verification fails
No record is issued and the fee is refunded in full. You pay for the record and its renewal, never for the outcome, and a failed check is never published.
